One of the most enduring and popular china patterns in the world, the ‘Willow’ pattern is an English design from the late 18th century mimicking the hand-painted blue and white designs originating in China. There are many different versions of the design and various stories about what they all mean, but the bridge, fence, pavilions, pair of birds and weeping willow motifs are all part of the standard pattern. This version has all the classic elements, but I imagine a pair of Australian magpies swooping across the sky, with a Harry Potter-esque Whomping Willow in the middle. Australian magpies generally mate for life and sing beautiful songs, but hopefully this art print won’t terrorise the entire neighbourhood every spring!

Treat it like a formal piece of art by mounting in a box frame, or embrace the whimsy by sticking it directly to your wall. Each print is hand-cut into an *almost* perfect circle.
